Well Person / Corporate Health Screening

As well as occupational health reports and assessments we undertake well person screening/health screening clinics in an attempt to raise the overall sense of wellbeing, health and fitness of individual employees.

The initial consultation with our health screening doctor covers a range of topics including personal lifestyle, occupation, family history, past medical and surgical histories and any concerns or worries that they might have regarding their health at the time of screening.

The examination carried out will include a full physical examination of their skin, eyes, ears, nose, throat, cardiovascular (heart) and respiratory (lungs) systems, abdominal, musculoskeletal (joints) and nervous systems, plus any other areas of concern that may have arisen during the initial consultation.

A number of tests will be carried out and these include:

• Height/weight/body mass index

• Urinalysis/urine test

• Resting ECG (heart tracing)

• Lung Function test

• Hearing Test

A full blood chemistry and haematology profile will be carried out and will include:

• Full blood count

• Kidney tests

• Fasting blood sugar

• Corrected calcium

• Liver function tests

• Total cholesterol (including HDL (good fat type) and LDL (bad fat type) with a Total cholesterol/HDL ratio (percentage of good to bad fats)

• Triglycerides (blood fat)

• Gender specific information on health e.g. breast/testicular/probate

Following collation of all the information and results, a comprehensive report will be written giving a summary of the findings and also a recommendations/action plan to address any issues arising from the health screening for their information. Individual results are confidential to the employee but the employer gets an anonymised report outlining general results and identifying any recurrent themes that may be relevant to the employee health management in the future.
